Meet Jane Lawrence
Hi, I’m Jane . (Yes, that’s me in India!)
Best Exotic Tours was started by my sister-in-law, Rachel, who moved from New Zealand to India, married and started a young family.
She found India was an ‘exotic mystery’ to many of her friends from back home and started conducting tours in northern India to share what she found most delightful.
Tragically, Rachel died leaving three young children. Together with her husband, Bhooi, I’m continuing to run the tours, which have grown from strength to strength and become very popular.
(Perhaps the “Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” movies have helped!)
The hosts and hostesses of many of the places we stay were inspired by Rachel and she still holds a place dear to their hearts.
Tour profits help educate Rachel’s children as they study in New Zealand.
